Unique, authentic, and naturally narrow live edge spalted or wormy/ambrosia maple floating shelves are functional and gorgeous. These natural and narrow live edge hardwood maple ledges can also be used as a floating bookshelf or floating mantel. Gorgeous spalting or wormy ambrosia with complementary natural grain coloration of gray and peach.

They all have their own beautiful and unique character, and will always be created from kiln dried maple with either spalting or ambrosia, but no two will look the same. If you order multiple shelves in one order, we can create them from the same slab or same tree so they look similar.

These narrow wood shelves are custom, handcrafted, and made-to-order. The images are just examples of ones we've done to help you visualize the finished piece. We understand the importance of seeing your final product. We will send you images of your finished shelf/shelves prior to packaging and shipping.

🕰 Current time to complete and ship out: within 6 weeks of order placement. We will most likely need every bit of that time. Expedited processing and shipping can be done at additional cost, so please reach out.

HOW IT WORKS:
- Choose a length from 12" (1 foot) to 90" (7 1/2 feet).
- Any piece will be approximately 6" - 9" deep. If you need a certain consistent depth, or minimum and maximum, within that range, please leave a note at checkout.
- Any piece will be a thickness of 1.5" - 1.75".
- Voids filled with soft black epoxy.
- Application of low VOC, non-toxic tung oil-based sealer and urethane for a silky smooth matte/satin finish.

* INDIVIDUAL BRACKETS -
- Support 30 pounds of weight per stud they're attached to.
- Holes drilled in the back are 16" from each other evenly down the back of the shelf to encourage hitting studs.
- Space routered in the back for rod plate to sit once installed, keeping the shelf flush with the wall and adding more stability.
- If you need different spacing on the back of the shelves to ensure you hit as many studs as possible, enter these measurements in the personalization box.
- Drywall anchors will be included in case you cannot hit a stud. Please note anchors will decrease the weight capacity rating.

* BACKPLATE BRACKET:
- Supports 45 pounds of weight per stud they're attached to.
- Back of shelf is routered to allow the backplate to sit into the shelf once installed, keeping the shelf flush and secure.
- Rod holes are drilled 12" from each other.
- Holes for fasteners are all along the backplate to help you hit as many studs as possible or use as many drywall plugs/mollies as you want.

→ Upon completion, we install the shelves to their brackets before shipping out to ensure functionality and stability. We are not liable for a customer's improper installation. A sheet with helpful installation tips will be provided to you in your package.
